How to create a consistent workout routine?

Set a goal

Set a specific goal, mark it in your daily schedule, on the fridge, or anything else you keep an eye on. If you want to be more determined, sign up for a long-term course, or work with a personal trainer, personal coaching will make it easier to stick to your workout and avoid distractions.

Change up your routine

Sign up for a new workout instead of following your usual workout routine, this will help you feel different and avoid boredom from doing the same routine over and over again, if you need a break between classes, try signing up for some relaxing classes like ZUMBA or Rhythm & Move.

Find a buddy

When you go to any class, find yourself a workout buddy, and set goals together to see who can achieve them first, having a workout partner will motivate you to work harder, and offer some rewards as a gift for the winner, so that you both have a purpose in training other than getting the body of your dreams.

Shopping

Yes, you should shop, not just buy whatever you like, but buy sports equipment, related to your subject as much as possible, a new sportswear, a pair of gloves, a pair of shoes, etc. Those things will remind you to go to the gym more often when you see them, or at least make you feel guilty if you buy them and don’t use them.

Weigh yourself daily

This method is not really suitable for everyone, but for some people, getting on the scale every day helps you track how you are changing thanks to your training. If you gain weight, it will motivate you to go to the gym more often, if you lose weight, it proves that your training is effective and you have to continue to keep up the momentum, if you stay on the scale, you have to maintain your training to always have the body of your dreams and keep your weight from fluctuating too much.

Make a plan

Instead of sitting around focusing on work and neglecting your training, take the time to plan your fitness routine. Even if your daily schedule changes because of your training, when you see a perfect plan with clearly written goals, you will definitely be more interested in going to the gym more.

Take time to rest

If you miss a workout for some reason, don’t feel too guilty, instead, arrange another workout day to make up for the day you missed, and take the other day to rest, you will feel more relaxed, as well as have the energy to complete the workout day more effectively than working out for a long time and pushing yourself too hard.

Resolution

Think about the resolutions you have set for this year, maybe they include exercises and fitness goals, then remember them carefully, this way you will remember to work out and take them for granted.
